“Quality Assurance and Student Participation in Higher Education” Workshop Have Begun

The workshop on "Quality Assurance and Student Participation in Higher Education", which was prepared in cooperation with Marmara University and Higher Education Quality Board and attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Akgiray,   was held in Marmara University Institutes Building Conference Hall.

YÖKAK Board Member and Marmara University Health Sciences Institute Director Prof. Dr. Feyza Arıcıoğlu said in the opening  speech of the workshop “The number of young academicians  is higher and we draw our strength from the youth.” Arıcıoğlu also stated that with the establishment of the Higher Education Quality Board in 2015, they aimed to disseminate the quality culture and to carry it out with a system. He also said that YÖKAK met with students at Marmara University  for the first time and that the feedback from the students is very important. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ömer Akgiray emphasized the importance of students' participation in quality control processes.

In the seminar moderated  by Hasibe Kadıoğlu, YÖKAK Specialist Lect. Dr.  Gonca Uludağ, who is also  Student Commission Coordinator, and YÖKAK Student Commission Member Erdoğan Taha Akbaş made speeches. Dr. Uludağ gave information about the quality processes in higher education, the importance of these processes and how students can take part in these processes.
