This year, the 750th anniversary of the death of Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli and the 700th anniversary of the death of Yunus Emre were included by UNESCO among its memorial and celebration events. Since it is the 100th anniversary of our Turkish National Anthem, it has been declared 2021 as the “Year of the Commemoration of the Turkish National Anthem and Mehmet Akif Ersoy” within the Presidential Circular. Speaking in this context, Deniz said, "We dedicated our program this year to Yunus Emre and Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli, who are the cornerstones of the Turkish-Islamic culture in the Anatolian geography, and also to the poet of the Turkish National Anthem Mehmet Akif Ersoy, one of the representatives of our struggle for independence."
